Festivities aplenty in Asia, South East Asia looks to get the selection of the bunch. Not astonishingly Thailand is the base of Thai Lanterns and are today achieving a far wider audience as they gain popularity at UK events.One Such Festival by the name of Yee Peng follows the Buddhist Calendar and translates to the twelfth lunar month. The West Calendar usually sees this falling in November. This Festival goes by the title of Loy Krathong through other regions of Thailand.Many customs are observed during this festival by the Thai people.. My precious action is the releasing of ‘Thai Lanterns’ or ‘Khom Loy’. It is truly marvelous to respect the sky alight with these burning orbs. Thai people trust that the leaving lantern is companioned by any woefulnesses. A happy and fulfilled life is said to be interpreted by the lanterns fire guiding in the dark.
