Impress Your Guests With Luxury & Diversity
Monday, January 26th, 2009As wedding favours can be quite an expense to the modern bride and groom, many couples are opting for favours that are practical.
Once almonds and dragees have been consumed from bomboniere nets, very few guests will actually keep the material and ribbon. Equally, once the candy, sweets or chocolate has been enjoyed from favour boxes and bags, do people actually keep the containers? Although many would, it is worth considering a favour for your guests that has a practical as well as thoughtful purpose.
Why not go for tea or coffee wedding favours? Champagne wedding favours? Wine wedding favours? Or cocktail wedding favours?
Tea wedding favours is a broad heading for a wide range of products you could offer your guests at your reception. Did you know that tea is one of the most popular drinks in the world? As so many couples are looking for something different for their wedding reception, why not keep up with the drinking trends and offer guests this alternative to traditional wedding favours?
Many couples are choosing ‘Perfect Blend’ loose tea, the bag of which can be personalised with the names of the bride and groom along with their wedding date. You can also choose from a range of backgrounds from Pastel Hearts to Beach Chairs and from Roses to Trees. These offer couples a stylish gift at a reasonable price. Just think, guests recall your happiness as they enjoy a rich, traditional blend of tea months after your big day.
Some couples are more enamoured with decorated flower, shoe or purse sugar cubes [although these are not especially practical and are not personalised].
You can also purchase many flavored boxed teas and offer guests these as an alternative wedding favour. On the other hand, you may be impressed by Gourmet tea tins, designer pewter tea infusers, mint tea sets or mini tea tins. When it comes to tea wedding favours, the list truly is endless.
Equally as warming, unique and delicious are coffee wedding favours. Coffee is such a widely used drink that offering guests personalised coffee favours keeps brides very much at the forefront of consumer tastes. It also guarantees to keep guests talking due to its diversity! Long after you say your vows, guests can enjoy an exclusive blend of the finest coffee whilst remembering your special day.
As with tea wedding favours, coffee wedding favours come with a range of different coloured and patterned backgrounds. Whichever you choose, you are assured of a fabulous response from your guests as they delight in receiving your coffee wedding favours.
If you are feeling a bit more daring, a truly different type of wedding favour is a cocktail wedding favour. Perhaps reserve sweets, candy or chocolate for the younger guests, but for the adults, wine wedding favours, champagne wedding favours and cocktail wedding favours give your wedding a fun twist.
As with packets of tea and coffee favours, cocktail wedding favours come in personalised packages containing a cocktail drink mix! There are several flavored varieties to choose from and these ensure that your wedding is keeping up with the latest trends!
When it comes to wine wedding favours, there are lots of different ways of providing guests with a ‘boozy’ gift. Whether you are looking for a chrome heart wine stopper with a chrome tuxedo heart corkscrew, or a wine glass candle or a personalised wine label, you can no doubt find a wine wedding favour to suit you.
The favour of all favours, has to be the champagne wedding favour. Personalised bottles of champagne are a great way to set a lavish theme to your wedding. Champagne wedding favour glasses can also be given as elegant favours, often personalised with the names of the bride and groom. What exquisite taste your guests will think you have if you go for champagne wedding favours! And why not, after all, it’s probably the biggest party you will ever host in your lives!
Whether you opt for a tea wedding favour or a coffee wedding favour, a cocktail wedding favour, wine wedding favour or a champagne wedding favour, you are guaranteed to impress your guests with your luxury and diversity.

Are You Stuck or Can You Get It?
Monday, January 26th, 2009Why do many salespeople remain faithful believers in obsolete selling strategies? We are talking about intelligent, successful salespeople. People whom, if they opened their minds to a totally new concept, could easily double their income without working any harder. That question has puzzled and frustrated us during the 14 years that we have been in the sales training business.
We have trained a great many salespeople who have doubled and even quadrupled their sales. Most of them have recommended our training to a lot of their friends and colleagues. Usually a few of their friends and colleagues enroll in our training courses. But, that’s not we expected.
We expected that, when our graduates went back to their companies and had dramatic increases in production, most of the other salespeople would demand to learn High Probability Selling. We expected that their managers would want to replicate that kind of performance by training their entire sales force. But, that doesn’t happen very often. Most often, the other salespeople, and their sales managers will not believe that the tremendous increases in our graduate’s sales productivity is due to learning a new sales process. Rather, they believe that the sudden success is due to luck, or a previously hidden talent, or to an increase in motivation.
We couldn’t figure out why they just don’t get the reality of it. David B. Wolfe, a new paradigm marketing strategist from Reston, VA, addresses this phenomenon in a recent essay. It seems to be a question of which of their needs is more important to them. The following is an excerpt from David’s essay.
——————————————-
How often do you find yourself pressing a point that you know to the core of your being is right, only to be frustrated because some people just “can’t get it”?
Imagine you are walking down the street 450 years ago when a friend runs up to you and says it has been discovered that, “The earth is not flat! It’s round, like a ball. Not only that, it turns around the sun!” You tell your friend to go home and sleep it off because you know that from the highest hill or mountaintop the panoramic view shows no sign of the earth being round like a ball, and you know from first-hand observation that every day the sun shines it rises in the east and sets in the west in its daily journey around the earth.
Would you believe that some people schooled in societies like our own still believe the earth is flat? To see for yourself, type in “Flat Earth society” at Google. Those who believe the earth is flat do so because they need to believe so. After all, belief follows need.
We believe what we need to believe to have guidance in our pursuit of a sense of personal validity, safety and comfort. Once such a set of beliefs is in place, challenges to them are usually met with fight or flight responses. We argue in defense of our beliefs or flee from notions that contradict them. We are prone to denying ideas that contradict our beliefs any landing rights in our minds.
Much like Copernicus’s repositioning of the earth from the center of the universe around which celestial bodies revolve, most people of that day could not “get it.” As Albert Einstein said, “A problem cannot be solved in the same consciousness that produced it.”

Are you planning to go out and buy a new motorhome and require a quick loan
Monday, January 26th, 2009You should be impertinent today to investigate if you have a nice special offer or if you don’t with the bank that offers you a bank loan. 6.7 percent interest rate may look so fair but will it stay incessant after you have to repay your loan. At present you can suss out rates of interest quickly online and cast if there are possible traps you should be aware of. It doesn’t matter if you live in Bethlehem Pennsylvania or in Owensboro Kentucky a dependable online analysis will allay you often lots of ail. Many of the banks wil show you a loan rate that looks just but doesn’t feel considerably or so after a while. This is why now you need to investigate and image if you can have a money loan at a honest percent rate of interest. Analyze to see if the merchant bank who is tending to give you a credit loan is fine.
A moneylender in Cary Illinois or so may have a total totally different actual rate for a 5000 dollar credit loan then a moneylender in Bowie Maryland and that makes a big clear difference in your weekly pay backs.
Personal Savings Rate and Credit Card Debt in the United States
Sunday, January 25th, 2009Have you ever imagined how much of your money is literally going waste as interest payments on credit cards? The average family in the United States is knee-deep in debt with a liability of around $7500 as credit card payments. About $1000 is paid as interest each year by the family to the credit card company. If you include a couple of late payments and over the limit charges, the figure gets embarrassingly high.
Nearly three out of five U.S. households are accountable for the approximately $560 billion in outstanding credit card debt. The total consumer debt including credit card payments and home mortgages are around 6.8 trillion beating the total US national debt, which is around 5.9 trillion. There has been a noticeable decline in the US personal savings rate from 8% in the 1980s to less than zero in present times. There is a colossal increase in credit card debt which has increased by 400 billion dollars in the past decade to an embarrassing figure of $700 billion.
If you have more than one credit card payment to make with a high interest, you can transfer you balance to another credit where you pay zero or less interest. Do this only if you intend to pay the balance in full within the introductory period of the balance transfer. You can also move your balance from a card with a high APR to the one with the low APR. Make sure that you pay the amount in full as you already have to pay less money towards interest.
Make a list of all your credit card debts and the amounts owed on each card every month. Pay off the card with the lowest amount first. Then use that money to pay of the second lowest amount. Alternatively, you can pay off the credit which has the highest rate of interest first and then move down progressively to pay the credit cards with lower rates of interest. This way, you save a lot of money on interest payments.
The best advice, however to get out of your credit card debt and improve your personal savings rate is to stop using your credit cards and use them only in important or emergency occasions. Use the credit card with the lowest interest rate, if you have many credit cards, and put the rest through your shredder. Using the card wisely is the best step to personal money management in a country like the US which dwells in a lifestyle of credit card usage.
Daniel Cohen recommends Find Credit Cards for comparing different Citibank credit card applications.
Your Life Empowered
Sunday, January 25th, 2009Many people ask me about my product, the Life Empowered System, whether it’s a scam or not. While their concern is understood, their fear is unneccessary. I’ve found in my experience as an Internet entrepreneur that our own fears, beliefs and mindsets are the biggest hurdles we have to get over before we find ourselves achieving our dreams.
Let’s take the Olympics for example. I watched with millions of others worldwide as Zhang Dan of China took a huge tumble. Then getting their composure they proceeded to take the Silver metal with a flawless performance! What makes someone rise to such a seemingly hopeless situation to come out a winner?
No one in the audience told them to do it, they didn’t sit down and think about it first to decide if it was worth even trying. So let me ask you, are you a Zhang Dan? When you find yourself in a tough situation with your life, do you buckle under the pressure or rise to the occasion? It takes the mindset of a winner to achieve the greatness of a winner.
I have achieved much in my life this far because I have the mindset, the belief and the passion to achieve. It’s a choice. I grew up in a large family where money was tight and hand-me-downs were the clothing of choice. My parents were no where near rich, but they instilled in me a wealthy mindset. A gift I intend to pass on to my daughter and grandchildren. The mindset of a winner.
There you lie, face down on the ice. The music seems to have stopped, the crowd is silent. Will you ignore circumstance and be the winner you know you are? Will you do what it takes to achieve greatness? If you do, than you will have the life that comes along with it.
Here’s to you, go live a life empowered!

What You Can Do To Improve Your Credit Score
Saturday, January 24th, 2009It is hard to watch television these days without hearing about credit scores. If you are not looking to get a loan or credit card, you may be wandering whether or not they are important. Your credit score is important, regardless of whether or not you plan on applying for a credit card or loan. In this article I will explain what a credit score is and why it is important.
What Is A Credit Score?
Your credit score will determine whether or not you’ll be approved for a mortgage loan, and how high your interest rate will be. Your credit score will also determine the cost of your car insurance. Even certain jobs, which you apply for, will require you to have good credit. Having a low score will make things much more expensive, and you may find that some companies won’t hire you. The easiest way to get a good score is to make sure you’re responsible with making your payments on time. It is also important to understand what is used to calculate the score.
Calculating Your Total
The type of different loans you have makes up about 10% of the score. If you don’t have an established credit history, the number of different accounts you have will be considered. Your payment history makes up 35% of your credit score. The number of different accounts you make payments on is considered, as well as number of late or missed payments you have. Any liens, bankruptcies, or judgments will be reviewed, and this information will be used to factor in your score. Services such as furniture rentals and car loans are included as well as credit cards.
The total amount owed makes up about 30% of your credit score. The number of accounts you have and the amounts you owe on all of them are reviewed. The closer you are to maximizing out your loans, the more likely it is that your credit score will be lower. How much you have paid back on your loans is also taken into consideration. The age of your credit history makes up about 15% of your credit score. If you have a long credit history your score will be higher if you don’t have any negative marks in the past. The last factor that makes up your credit score is called new credit.
New Agreements
New credit refers to the number of new loans you have opened recently, and makes up about 10% of your credit score. The number of request you’ve made for credit cards or loans is also computed. Now that you know all of the things that are used to calculate your score, what can you do to improve it?
What You Can Do To Improve
One of the things you can do is make sure all of your bills are paid on time. If you are too busy to make sure your bills are paid on time, set up automatic payments so that the money is debited from your account on the day it is due. You also want to make sure you don’t open too many accounts within a short period of time. It is also important to keep your balance low in proportion to the total amount of credit available on the loan. You should owe 25% less than the total available credit on your loan or credit card.
It is also better to pay off your credit card instead of moving over the balance to a card that has a lower interest rate. Constantly moving around your balances can cause your score to become lower, because the total amount you owe could fluctuate if you close certain accounts.

The Importance of Performing Background Checks
Friday, January 23rd, 2009It is important for all businesses, institutions, and families who are considering hiring someone to take the critical step of performing a background check.
A middle-class family in suburban Atlanta recently woke to discover thieves had ransacked their home and taken nearly everything.
Who were the culprits?
Two men that were employed with a cleaning company who had been in the house less than a week prior. It was later determined that these men, who worked for a prestigious and reputable cleaning company had colorful criminal backgrounds of robbery and theft. The two men were on assignment at the home and while one of them did the cleaning, the other cased the house – taking note of valuables and even ways to get around the security system. It was eventually determined that the cleaning company neglected to properly investigate the backgrounds of its employees; and the company was sued for negligence. Stories such as this do not often in without violence; however, this example illustrates the dire importance of thoroughly screening all new employees with a background check.
This is example is surely of the extreme. It is, however, important for all businesses considering hiring someone to take the critical step of performing a background check. It is estimated 30% of all resumes submitted to employers, has some falsified content. This content can vary from exaggerations to outright lies. The most common falsifications are usually located in the education portion of the resume.
Most businesses deal with sensitive information at some level. This may range from handling social security numbers, credit card information, drivers license information and other types of personal information. In order to assure clients and customers that their information is being handled properly, it is the duty of the business owner to take the necessary step in getting a thorough background check on all employees. Personal and professional references are still a good method, however, they should not be relied upon solely. It should be obvious that prospective employees will give names of those who will give a good reference; background checks pick up where references stop – they will give you accurate and in-depth information regarding the candidate.
Background checks are available to cover a wide variety of areas. Drivers license, character references, personal acquaintances, education records, criminal records, court records, credit records and much more. It is also important to note that much of this is public information. In addition, employers should understand that according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, some information cannot be used in conjunction with a background check. Bankruptcies after 10 years and many other types of consumer information that is older than 7 years may not be reported. Criminal background, credit reporting, worker’s compensation claims and character references are just a few among a long list of types of background checks that are widely available. Employers should know the laws in their specific state regarding what information is available for their specific needs.
According to Paul Falcone, author of the book The Hiring and Firing, background checks serve many purposes: to enhance security in the workforce, to reduce turnover, to minimize the occurrence of employee theft and to leave you with the peace of mind that you have made the right decision in the hiring process. As a business owner, it is imperative to know who is working for you and what their background is. Employers should also include notice of the types of background checks performed, in their pre-employment literature. Most employers do not have the time, resources or authority to complete such thorough investigations. In order to gain this peace of mind, it is necessary to hire a background investigation firm.
Several types of firms conduct background checks. They can range from a company who verifies employment history only, to an online data broker to a private investigator. Though background check prices can vary widely depending on need, the average cost of an intermediate investigation seems to be in the $50 range. Business owners should consider this good practice and an inexpensive form of insurance for their company. Skimping on something as vitally important as a background investigation could possibly cost the company much more in the long run.
Free Background Checks
It is only human nature that the word ‘free’ catches our attention. Who doesn’t want free stuff? Employers should be extra careful when dealing with offers for free background investigations. If one searches the Internet for the query “free background checks”, he or she will certainly be bombarded with results. Upon closer examination of these “free” offers, it is apparent that the information you need is not really free at all. Yes, you can find out if a person has any outstanding warrants, any criminal charges but in order to see the details of the findings, you must pay a fee. It is very possible for employers to find the information for themselves. Various types of public records are searchable on the Internet. Another method is to contact the local police or sheriff’s department. Depending on the particular laws of a state and the employer’s needs, much of the information may be acquired for free from one of these agencies. According to privacy advocates, employers should be very cautious of those companies who advertise that they can find out anything about anybody – these companies might not be adhering to the federal laws regarding privacy. It is in the employer’s best interest to know as much about the investigating company’s practices before hiring them.

Transforming Negative Beliefs to Positive
Friday, January 23rd, 2009Transforming Negative Beliefs to Positive
by Alan Tutt
http://www.KeysToPower.com
Have you ever tried to transform your life by changing your beliefs, only to find that you are overwhelmed by a flood of negative beliefs? Does it seem as though the negative beliefs are in total control over your life? Do you feel that you must be a completely negative person, without a single positive beliefs in your soul?
If you are looking to become a more positive person, but not sure where to start, here is something that may help. The first part of the journey is the most tedious. A lot of people seem to feel as you do, thinking that most of their beliefs are on the negative side rather than positive. However, I’ve never met a person who only had negative beliefs, without a single positive one. I know for a fact that you are not the exception to this rule, since you obviously believe that you can change and improve – which is itself a positive belief.
And that may be your starting point. As long as you can recognize that you do have positive beliefs, it won’t be so hard to assume that you can have more. And once you start thinking of yourself as being a person with positive beliefs, then your progress will speed up tremendously!
A complete changeover from 90% negative to 90% positive may take a little time to implement, but not as much time as you may at first assume. I guess the first question to ask is how much time is the investment worth to you? Time will progress whether we change ourselves or not, and at the end of a 10 year time span, we can either be who we are right now, or we can be a completely different person. I’m not saying that the process will take that much time, but what if it did? Would you choose to keep your negative beliefs just because the change didn’t happen instantly?
I guess I’m trying to say that the process will take some time, no matter what process you work with. In the Keys To Power system, it is the hypnosis that really makes the changes happen quickly, but the processes that come before are what really make the hypnosis effective. In the lesson on affirmations, you are trying out the statements to see what the effect will be. If the effects seem to be good, then you will take those affirmations into the hypnotic process to speed up the effects. If the effects of your affirmations indicate a possible problem, then you have a good chance to make corrections before any real damage is done.
Some affirmations that you may want to work with are:
I am a positive person.
I expect everything to work out well for me and everyone else.
Life is getting better and better every day.
Nothing is as bad as I think it is.
Everything is better than I think it is.
I am starting to see more and more positive things in my life.
Divine blessings come to me in every size and shape.
Everything that I experience is a blessing of some kind or another.
I am releasing my negative beliefs. They will no longer affect me.
I enjoy the positive feelings that are growing within me.
I am a spark of the Divine.
I have the same potential as anyone.
I can do anything I set my mind to do.
I am growing in wisdom, experience, and ability.
I can achieve much more now than I ever could before.
People are generally trustworthy. They always try to do the right thing.
Everyone does the best they can with the understanding they have.
All conflict is the result of misunderstanding.
As I understand more, I experience less and less conflict.
Love is the true nature of my being.
Love is the essence of everyone.
I choose to acknowledge the divinity within all people because it will enrich my life.
I am basically a happy person.
The future will be much better than I can even imagine it to be.
Of course, these are only a sampling of what you may eventually work on, but they will give you a good starting point in creating a foundation of positive beliefs to work with.
If you wish, you may take these directly to the hypnotic process and start programming these beliefs into your inner mind. If you notice any reaction from your inner mind that indicates a rejection of the idea of any of these affirmations, take note of it. You may want to add new affirmations to support and balance the first one. You will definitely want to spend more time working on that particular belief.
As you continue to work with a particular belief, you will start to notice that the reactions from your inner mind get quieter and quieter, and eventually drop out altogether. This is the process of transformation, and on the other side is a positive version of you.
