Travel Light with Fabric

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

Since my father passed away we have spent a lot of time on airplanes flying back and forth from my mother’s home. She refuses to leave and join us out here because she wants to be close to her sister so our only alternative is a lot of airline time. Unfortunately when I sit for long periods of time my legs and feet start to swell and by the time we arrive I have very sore limbs. My doctor recommended travel compression socks to wear whenever I fly or am going to be driving for long periods of time. They stimulate the legs to keep blood moving and the swelling has been reduced.

When I travel I like to travel light. I am well aware that a leather purse will give me many years of wear but I am also aware that it adds weight and I do not want to haul the added weight around when I am lugging suitcases from hotel to airport. I have purchased a delightful fabric purse by Baggallini that meets my every need. It contains multiple compartments and each one can be secured. I have a place for my credit cards and for my make up. There is also a separate area where I can keep my cell phone and still get to it in a hurry.

Awaken Your Creative Imagination

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

Our creative imaginations distinguish us as people with unique talents. Creativity allows us to connect the apparently unconnected and see uniqueness in events and situations that otherwise appear ordinary.

Mary Lou Cook defined creativity as “inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes and having fun.” Creative effort uncovers new possibilities and options.

Each person is gifted with creativity; it lives just below the surface of our conscious thoughts. Yet we can nurture this divine gift to blossom and grow. How can we access our natural creativity to solve problems and feel the happiness and satisfaction it brings?

First, realize that you are always creating with your imagination. Every action and creation begins first in the mind. Stop for a moment and visualize the perfect outcome to an objective or problem. Then ask yourself, “What actions could lead to this outcome?” Challenge yourself to list 20 actions you could take, no matter how impractical they might initially seem.

Here is another technique that my clients have loved using to generate ideas. Imagine new endeavors or actions by associating them with a list of words that describe the feeling behind what you would like to create.

For example. In developing my new project or taking my next action, what would be picturesque, bold, inspiring, colorful, animated, compelling, original, compassionate, adventurous, artistic, brief, time-saving, or powerful.

Construct your descriptive list to reflect your point of view about what you would like to achieve. Then try matching several new ideas with each word. Most importantly, do not judge your initial ideas. Write down whatever comes to mind.

This is a process you can return to from time to time as new ideas occur. It is a fun and effective way to experiment and generate many ideas more quickly than otherwise. Best of all, awakening your creative imagination will bring authentic joy and fulfillment in the achievement of your goals.

Computer Bad Credit Financing With No Credit Check & PC’s On Layaway

Friday, November 28th, 2008

It wasn’t so long ago when financing a computer with bad
credit was next to impossible. The option for people with
bad credit was to put a computer on layaway. Of course you
could always rent to own a computer, but how many people
used it before you? If you did rent to own a computer you
would have paid up to four times the retail value.

It took awhile, but financing companies are finally starting
to realize that not all people with bad credit are unable to
afford payments on new products and services. There are many
variables that can bring one’s credit rating down such as
bankruptcy or divorce. It’s not always as simple as failure
to pay.

In todays world it is easy to get your computer financed
with bad credit and no credit check if you know where to go.
There are even a couple of different payment options. This
is because there are people who would prefer to put money
down in exchange for a lower monthly payment, and others who
prefer a no money down option.

Some let you put a laptop or desktop computer on what is
referred to as layaway. Though similar, it really isn’t true
layaway because you get to have your computer before it’s
fully paid for. When you put a computer on layaway like
this, what you’re really doing is showing the financing
company you can be trusted to make your payments. Normally
you’ll make payments for a few months before your computer
is shipped.

To get your computer financed with bad credit, no credit, or
without a credit check, you’ll still need a valid checking
account in most cases. This is to your benefit since you can
actually make payments using your checking account and you
don’t need a credit card. Some computer financing companies
will even help you get a prepaid credit card.

Just remember, when you put a PC on layaway through a retail
outlet, you’ll have to pay in full in about 90 days. If you
rent to own a PC you’re going to be over charged in a big
way, and chances are the computer has already been used
before. When you go through a financing company, your PC
will be brand new, out of the box.

If you can afford a good down payment on a computer, that
would be your best option since you can get your new
computer right away, and the payments aren’t that much
higher than if you would have had good credit. When you
can’t afford a sizeable down payment, the best thing you can
do is make extra payments when you can so you’ll get your PC
sooner.

Bad credit computer financing makes it possible for just
about anyone with an income to get a computer without the
hassle of a true layaway deadline or being overcharged by a
rent to own company. Not to mention, many of these companies
offer name brand desktop and laptop computers like DELL, and
in the end, only you know what payment option best suites
your needs.

Directory Enquiries

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

Directory enquiries has historically up to now been certainly, one of the most helpful and useful consumer services ever thought up. Just grabbing a telephone to ask for an individuals address or a telephone number when you didn’t possess the requisite phone directory about your person has certainly been a great help for us in these times of dire information necessities. Tired of telephone directory enquiries? Try the online version at the 118 118 website.

In spite of this, as time moved on and directory enquiries became ever more common, we came to the realisation that we invested more time being put on hold and enduring advertisements instead of the alternative, securing the data that we wanted “fast and easy”. Because, this was the only function directory enquiries are meant to perform. And consequentially, a significant proportion of us commenced searching for better methods and means. But nevertheless, there was still no service which was anywhere near as good until the dawning of online directory enquiries. On line directory enquiries are not solely better than standard phone in directories, on-line directories are considered exponentially more effective.

The best on-line directory enquiries offer their services at no cost. There are absolutely no joining fees and no requisite listening to ads. Thus online directories are clearly “free of charge” and ‘easy to use”. On-line directory enquiries are available to function for you all year round. You are able to simply click to open an on-line directory enquiry and search for your long lost school chums mobile phone number at three thirty am.

On-line directory enquiries let you discover information about a very large number of vital bits of information. UK directory enquiry services provide bus schedules and significantly help you in finding trains from finish to source. You could furthermore get to find out about the movies currently being screened in your closest cinema hall, no matter where about you currently are in the UK. Plainly, tracking down organisations and their telephone numbers is a big slice of the pie and the best part is that you of course get to find out individuals mobile numbers. All this essential information is immediately visible at your personal computer with on line business directories. There are clearly certainly no overbusy phone lines, no irate operators, malfunctioning machines or extensive advertisements to listen to. Freedom at last!

Understanding CD Duplication and Services of CD Duplication

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

CD duplication is the process of copying data from one CD to another through the process of burning especially in large commercial quantities.

Though many people use the term CD duplication and replication interchangeably, there are gross differences between the two. Though both processes transfer information onto CDs, duplication is the process of burning what we call pits onto a CD surface and normally undertaken by CD Duplication Companies. The device which does the burning is called a CD burner can be inexpensively found on home PCs.

CD replication on the other hand obtains an imprint from a master CD and stamps the data in binary form on the CD. In CD Duplication, the duplicate is of the same or inferior quality as the original. No attempt is made to change the quality or constitution of the data transferred. CD Duplication is also cheap to do and therefore the favorite of computer enthusiasts who don’t have the large budget to do replication. It is also cheaper to do for low volume work say burning 10 to 20 CDs.

But replication is an attempt to produce a high end version of an original CD and therefore involves more sophisticated technology and machinery, and that’s why we find this method mostly with CD Duplication Companies. Because of the high capital layout, it is an expensive option and therefore suits people who need to do quality or professional copies in large volumes say 100,000 to 1 million copies. Sometimes, the sheer need for quality production such as CDs being sent to radio stations, open market, etc need to have high quality production whether a single or 2 million copies are to be produced. It may also be noted that replication usually involves labeling and sleeve design.

Replication has many benefits, including accuracy, quality, quantity, and packaging – the clear choice for a professional finished product in significant to large numbers. The larger the initial order, the lower the unit price. Though CD Duplication can come almost free, replication can cost $2 per CD, the price inversely proportional to the quantity of CDs in question.

Why would people want to duplicate CDs?

First, it saves them a lot of time. The recording technology is able to use multiple recorders say 2000 or more at the same time and therefore beats down time spent in the process. In this mode of recording, all the CDs to be duplicated are installed at once on a system and the recording done once.

Money.. Duplication costs less because there is no mastering involved. Thus, people can be able to obtain large quantities for far less the expense over replication.

Security.. The CD Duplication process ensures security especially if you have sensitive data that you would not want to compromise to third party systems. Every aspect of the duplication can be done at one place thereby eliminating the need to transport anything to another location and risking divulgence of information.

Mixonic at mixonic.com is one of the many CD Duplication Companies that offers CD Duplication services for educational and training professionals, musicians, content providers and software developers. The company has great flexibility in orders – customers can ask for Rush, Standard, or Value Packages as their budgets and convenience permit. They charge $1.88 for 1000 CDs duplicated in color.

CD man at cdman.com, a CD Duplication Company, has been around since 1991 and offers excellent services. The company has a graphic design team that can design from simple sleeves to advanced cardboard mailers. They can even stamp bar codes onto the CDs in case you would like to retail your products at a shop.

Proactionmedia.com, another CD Duplication Company also offers $0.59 CD Duplication services.

With so many CD Duplication Companies on the market, which CD Duplication Company do you choose? We have listed a few factors that you may need to look at if you are selecting a company to do duplication for you:

Do they have the advanced technology to give you error free and high turn around production?

Does the CD Duplication Company have the printing facilities in-house; if possible on the same assembly line or they will have to outsource the printing to another company which can result in poor work and delays?

Do they have a sample to show you so you can make some preliminary judgment of their output?

CD Duplication is an excellent to produce large quantities of CDs at relatively low cost. Whether you are a software producer or musician, CD Duplication is an area you may need to know about extensively so you can insist on quality work at all times from CD Duplication Companies.

Earn Free Airline Tickets with an Airline Credit Card

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

If you have signed up for an airline credit card, you are probably trying to figure out how to get the most of its reward system. More than likely, you are paying an annual fee for your airline credit card, plus a higher interest rate than what you would pay for a card without rewards. Therefore, it makes financial sense to want to be sure you are getting something in return for the investment. The best way to ensure that you use your airline credit cards to their fullest is to earn those free tickets sooner rather than later.

Choose the Card Wisely

When selecting an airline credit card, keep in mind that there are several to choose from. Some airline miles credit cards are formed in partnership with specific airlines, which means your rewards will be restricted to just that airline. Others are more generic and allow you to collect miles for a variety of airlines. These cards work by purchasing a discounted ticket for you on the airline of your choice based on the cash value of every mile you earn. If you don’t want to be restricted to just one airline, this type of airline credit card is a good option for you. You can often earn a ticket quicker this way since ticket prices vary among competing airlines.

You also need to pay attention to how many dollars you need to spend in order to earn free tickets. This requires looking at two components: how many miles each dollar you spend is worth and how many miles it takes to earn a ticket. If you earn 5 miles per dollar, but it takes 100,000 miles to earn a ticket, it is better to go with a card that only rewards 1 mile per dollar but provides a ticket after accumulating 10,000 miles.

Take Advantage of the Incentives

Airline miles credit cards generally have a number of special incentives built into the program. For example, you might earn more miles for purchases made with certain partners. Or, you might earn bonus miles for making purchases through the airline that has partnered with the card if the card is a partnership between an airline and a credit card company. Learn as much as you can about how you can earn extra miles with your card – and take advantage of it.

Many airline miles credit cards offer similar incentives. For example, several provide incentives for making car rentals or hotel reservations with their business partners. Or, some packaged vacation deals can be created in partnership with the credit card company or airline. If you purchase these packages with the credit card, you might receive a significant number of bonus miles.

Fly Often and Use Your Card

The fastest way to earn your free airline ticket is to fly often and to be sure you charge the tickets to your airline credit card. Doing so can help you accumulate thousands of airline miles in just one year. If you travel for business, make sure to charge the expense to your airline credit card to increase your miles earned.

On the other hand, you can still pump up your earned airline miles even if you do not travel for business. You can charge all of your gasoline, groceries, and other expenses to your airline credit card. You can even set up your regular monthly bills to be charged to your credit card. Paying all of the bills at one time at the end of the month when you pay off your credit card balance isn’t just convenient, it is also a smart way to earn rewards for money you will spend anyway. Make the bills work for you and help you earn more miles.

For about using an airline credit card, Robert Alan recommends that you visit CreditCardAssist.com.

The Lowdown on Low Interest Rate Credit Cards

Monday, November 24th, 2008

Low interest rate credit cards are useful for those who carry their credit card balance forward every month. However, not all applicants for a low interest rate credit card actually manage to acquire one. The reason for this is that these cards require a good to excellent credit rating, which precludes many potential cardholders.

There is sufficient information available online for an individual looking out for a low interest rate credit card; these cards are advertised aggressively. The average rate of interest with a low interest rate credit card is around 9%; it can go down to 5.5% for individuals with exceptional credit scores. Individuals with poor credit scores can negotiate with credit card companies for a deal that suits their requirement — the company may agree if the individual has had a steady income for the past few months and is likely to continue earning in the future.

Companies that offer low interest rate cards try to compensate for the low rates in various ways; these include an annual fee which may be up to $60. The actual rate of interest can be much higher than stated when the annual fee is considered; one should try and obtain a card that does not charge an annual fee. Often, credit card companies waive the annual fees upon request.

Low interest rate credit cards are often advertised as offering a 0% APR for the introductory period. This is a strong enticement for credit card prospects that spend heavily during the initial period only to find the interest rate escalate to upward of 15% at the end of the introductory period. A low introductory rate is fine if one plans to transfer a balance from one card to another, but otherwise it should not be considered as one of the influencing factors when selecting a low interest rate credit card. Low interest rate credit cards also try to make up for the low rate of credit by charging high balance transfer fees; sometimes these fees can be as high as 3% of the transfer amount. Therefore, it is important that one carefully reads and understands the terms and conditions related to a low interest rate credit card before signing up for one.

Low interest rate credit cards charge either a variable or a fixed rate of interest. A fixed rate of credit is advisable for card holders who are in the habit of carrying their balances forward every month. These cards also offer the opportunity for debt consolidation. One can transfer the balance from other cards to a low interest rate credit card that charges either no or low transaction fees, and the savings on the interest can be diverted towards paying off the principal.

Samuel Petry recommends you visit CreditCardAssist to learn more about low interest rate credit cards. See http://www.creditcardassist.com/lowinterest/creditcards.html for more information.

Another part of the reason is that you can find out the offers of a huge number of providers all at one place and judge which is the best very easily.

Banks, Loans & How To Save Big Bucks

Monday, November 24th, 2008

When shopping around for a loan, whether it be auto, home or consolidation, most individuals turn toward banks for the money that they need. There are a number of factors that can determine how much, or how little, money you can save.

Are you familiar with your credit report and FICO score? If not, you should be. Visit annualcreditreport.com to receive a free copy of your credit report, from each of the three credit reporting agencies, once every 12 months. Typically, these reports are $9.00 each but many consumers do not realize that they are entitled to a free copy every year. There are no catches, no gimmicks and no trial period in any type of paid service in order to gain access through this website. The information contained in your credit file is one of the top factors in determining your loan amount, interest rate and ultimately a decision as to approval or denying the loan request. Everyone should be familiar with their credit report, verify the accuracy of their contents and correct any mistakes that are present. The FICO score is a number that is calculated based on previous payment history, debt to balance ratio and length of credit history. The higher your FICO score, the lower your interest rates.

During the loan application process, banks will retrieve a copy of your credit report. They will also request certain other information, which only you can provide. Among the items that banks request when processing a loan application include current pay stubs, a copy of the previous two years of tax returns and possibly even bank statements and proof of employment. When applying for a large loan, patience is the key. Some banks respond within 24 hours while others may take up to a week. Even if one bank denies your request, don’t give up. Try other banks, who may be enticed to extend a loan in hopes of gaining you as a future customer.

These days, there are loan opportunities for practically everyone. No credit, bad credit, slow credit. You name it and there are banks out there who want your business, but there may be a catch. Depending on your credit history, you may end up spending more than twice as much in interest as someone with a spotless credit record.

Some banks do not specialize in large loans, such as home and auto, but rather extend smaller lines of credit to consumers. These lenders typically issue credit cards to those who are approved. While your credit history does play a large role in determining your interest rates with credit cards, it does not determine other miscellaneous fees. Certain fees, which are charged by banks issuing credit cards, are blanket fees issued to everyone who carries a line of credit. Late fees, overlimit fees and annual fees are among the miscellaneous fees charged by many credit card companies. Avoid banks that charge excessive fees upfront and reduce a large amount of your available credit with said fees. With credit cards, keep in mind that interest rates can skyrocket after only one missed payment. You will save a lot of money by paying on time, every time and by keeping your credit card debt to a minimum.

Credit Repair Through Credit Counseling

Sunday, November 23rd, 2008

By managing these debts properly, you will maintain a good credit rating which will allow you to continue to receive credit in the future. If you fail to make timely payments towards your loans – or worse, you let them go in default – you will find yourself stuck with a poor credit rating, which will rob you of many economic opportunities. In order engage in credit repair, you must slowly build your credit rating back up again. One thing that can help you do this is to seek the help of a credit counselor.

In general, credit counseling is performed by non-profit agencies, and is not to be confused with for-profit credit repair companies. The latter should be avoided. Credit repair companies have a reputation for being scams, especially those ones who advertise online. Even if it doesn’t turn out to be a scam, it’s likely that a credit repair company will do nothing that you can’t do yourself: they’ll direct you to obtain your credit report and challenge all negative items on it, and may even suggest you attempt illegal activities like getting a “new” credit rating thorough a different address.

In contrast, a credit counseling service will only provide advice, and in a context that precludes a profit motive. This is the best and most intelligent way to engage in credit repair. To deny that rebuilding your credit rating will be a long process requiring time and discipline is to do yourself a disservice, and a credit counselor will help you make the long term plans and decisions you need to in order to engage in effective credit repair.

Most good credit counseling organizations will provide you with advice and workshops, as well as educational materials. They will help you learn to both make and stick to a budget, which over the long term will be extremely beneficial to your credit rating. They will also be able to provide you with one-on-one counseling, so you can examine and learn to make good economic decisions based on your particular credit experience.

The problem with credit repair companies – and the reason you should be suspicious of them – is that they propose a quick, one size fits all solution. Anyone who claims they can quickly fix your credit without knowing anything about the situation is not being truthful. A credit councilor can be crucial in providing exactly the kind of particular attention that a credit repair company will avoid.

Most importantly, if you engage in credit repair by using a councilor, your solutions will be more long term, because you will be learning how to manage your budget more effectively, and making permanent changes to your spending habits. This is far preferable to paying a credit repair company that promises a quick solution that is of no educational value to you.
